Inwindow Outdoor, an out-of-home media firm that specializes in
storefront advertising, announced Monday (Oct. 6), it is expanding
into malls. The initiative, called Mallways, will offer advertisers
the opportunity to transform vacant retail and empty wall space
inside malls.
The company has already inked partnerships with shopping center
developers Westfield Group, General Growth Properties and
Developers Diversified Realty to manage displays at more than 200
locations.
"Mallways (TM) are a natural extension of our Storescapes (TM)
because they take the large-scale advertisements we normally do on
crowded city streets and bring them into a contained shopping
environment that is packed with consumers," said Steve Birnhak, CEO
and founder of Inwindow Outdoor, which offers inventory in 15 major
markets.
Inwindow Outdoor plans to offer Mallways to advertisers on a mall
by mall exclusive basis.
